The Pacaya Volcano located in the Pacaya Volcano National Park is one of the most attractive sites for tourists and visitors interested in seeing an active volcano. Although it is not the highest peak in Guatemala, its volcanic landscapes, slopes and fields full of steaming lava represent one of the most impressive and attractive panoramas for those who enjoy adventure tourism. In addition, along the way you can enjoy a spectacular scenery offering a very clear view of the Volcano of Fire.
The time of the trip from Antigua to the Pacaya Volcano is one hour. And whatever the conditions, the group has the opportunity to go through very attractive landscapes, surrounded by volcanic rocks while ascending to the summit. Along the way you will encounter geothermal hot spots, cooled lava where you can roast some marshmallows and, on some occasions, you will find lava rivers that are a very exciting attraction, as long as you follow the corresponding precautionary measures.
